The European Commission is on the way with three pieces of legislation with the aim of regulating different aspects of the digital economy: Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA) and Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA).
How will EU regulate the tech giants? What are the pitfalls when the EU tries putting a leash on tech giants? What is at stake for the citizens? And is EU-regulation on the field even preferable to ‘the law of jungle’ on the digital field, that we experience today?
Join us for an online debate with EU-journalist Staffan Dahllöf, who is investigating the Commissions work with DSA, DMA and AIA, and Nora Friese-Wendenburg, assistant to MEP Martin Schirdewan, CO-Chair of THE LEFT in the European Parliament, presently working on DSA and DMA in the EU-Parliament. DEO’s chief analyst, Rasmus Nørlem Sørensen, will moderate the debate.
The project is sponsored by the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (Brussels), a German political foundation closely linked to Die Linke, the German Left Party.
